This is the web site of the Eastleigh and District Local History Society.

It is hoped that we will be able to make much of the information that we have about Eastleigh available on this web site.

We are making a start by showing some of our collection of photographs about Eastleigh. At present we have 200 photographs on our site but there are at least 2000 more to add. Please keep checking as we will be loading hundreds of extra photographs during the next few weeks.

Sadly we know little about many of our photos. Often we do not know an exact date or the location where the photo was taken. Some visitors have been adding interesting comments which are very helpful. We would be grateful if more visitors to the site would comment on photographs to fill in some of the gaps in our knowledge.

A new paper has been added "The History of my House" by Debby Bartlett. This shows how much interesting history can be discovered about a fairly ordinary house. Click here to look at the paper
